Psilocybin Shows Promise as Anti-Aging Agent: New Study Fuels Interest in Natural Wellness
A pioneering study published in the journal Aging reports that psilocybin, the active ingredient in psychedelic mushrooms, may offer significant antiaging benefits. Researchers found that lab mice treated with psilocybin survived 30% longer than untreated controls. Notably, the treated mice exhibited slowed cell deterioration and showed visibly healthier, less gray fur - suggesting systemic rejuvenation at both cellular and physical levels. Scientists observed similar promising effects in laboratorycultured human cells, including preserved telomere length and reduced oxidative stress.
